Jared Goldman.
Independent developer · forward deployment & regular development
Summary
I build AI systems that run inside a business, not beside it. For the last year I have been the
acting CTO of a global executive search firm, where I designed and shipped the platform its
recruiters use every day — semantic candidate search, multi-channel outreach, and market
intelligence. Before that, regulated crypto and fund infrastructure, where being wrong isn't a
bug, it's a loss.
What I am known for is knowing where to stop. Every automated action in a system I build has a
limit in code, and the sequence that could embarrass a client is the sequence that ends itself.
The Gigantes work is the regular-development shape. GroundCrew Labs is the forward-deployment shape.
Experience
Jan 2026 – Present
Gigantes Group — Chief Technology Officer
Global executive search firm; US, Singapore, Japan and APAC.
Technical strategy and full-stack engineering for the firm’s internal AI platform, built from nothing into production and used daily by the recruiting desk. I designed and shipped a semantic candidate-ranking engine that turns a job description into a vector and matches it against one pool built from both freshly sourced profiles and the firm’s existing CRM, returning up to 500 ranked candidates labelled by source; a market-intelligence module that watches for hiring triggers and alerts the desk four to eight weeks before a role is posted, and deliberately does not draft or send outreach; and a multi-channel outreach sequencer whose reply sensor cancels every remaining step the instant someone responds. I owned the engineering that keeps it trustworthy rather than impressive — rate limits and an action log on every automated LinkedIn action, an error-and-retry queue, per-provider cost tracking — and wrote the handover checklist for the team that owns it after me.
Sep 2023 – May 2026
OSF Management — Software Developer
Toronto-based fund.
Built and maintained the fund’s data ingestion pipeline, connecting our dashboard to the ~15 exchanges we worked with at any given time, so performance was observable in one place instead of reconciled by hand across sources. The pipeline ran unattended against exchanges whose APIs disagreed with each other about almost everything — retries, partial reads and provider quirks were handled without a person watching.
Jan 2023 – Sep 2023
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation — Senior Developer
Products used by millions of people in Canada and worldwide.
Built on and maintained CBC’s authentication layer and newsletter infrastructure. Integrated reCAPTCHA v3 into the Newsletters service, cutting automated bot traffic that had been degrading the service. Ran security audits across codebases and drove the adoption of the fixes, plus TypeScript adoption that improved day-to-day developer experience.
Dec 2021 – Jan 2023
Bitbuy — Software Developer
Regulated Canadian crypto exchange.
Led a team of three to build the CI/CD pipeline and a modern Git workflow, raising release rate by 300%. Built the managed accounts API behind white-labelled services for corporate clients — a direct revenue line. Optimised the React web application, improving speed and build time by over 100%. Earlier in the same company I shipped cash withdrawal and secure document upload, features where being wrong is a loss, not a bug.
